Our UV Gallery Aluminum artwork is the perfect mix of a sleek modern substrate with a classic gallery finish. The brushed metal surface and bold direct-UV-printing gives your image an extraordinary, metallic appearance. Ideal for compositions with a large amount of white or strong dark and light contrasts – The areas of the image that are white or very light are not printed, but instead take on the appearance of the brushed aluminum’s surface. Add our 3/4” deep inset metal frame for a weightless presentation or create a classic look while protecting the edges of the aluminum with one of our traditional frames.

Substrate

We use only premium grade brushed DiBond aluminum composite. The robust layered structure provides stability while maintaining a light weight. The shimmering aluminum surface has consistent grain throughout. Each print is custom fitted and framed in our signature Gallery Frame creating a high-end work of art.

Printing

We direct print your image straight onto the aluminum surface. In this state-of-the-art, 5-color printing process, we use UV fine art inks for a vibrant, satin finish print. The brighter parts of the image are not printed at all, meaning the shimmering aluminum remains visible and creates a show-through effect.

Options

Border Options

For images with little or no show through we recommend adding borders to your artwork to accentuate the underlying substrate. For images with significant show through we suggest edge-to-edge printing.

Ink Options

  1. CMYK Print
    The brighter parts of the image are not printed at all, meaning the brushed aluminum remains visible and creates a show-through effect. We achieve this look using our modern direct UV print process leaving out the white ink channel.
  2. White + CMYK Print
    We apply a flood or spot white ink layer below the CMYK print to eliminate show through and keep the white values in tact.

Gallery Frame

Each UV Gallery Aluminum print is custom fitted and framed in our signature 3/4” wide by 2” deep matte black Gallery Frame.

Hanging

The Aluminum prints arrive ready-to-hang complete with dust cover and hanging hardware.

Our standard UV Gallery Aluminum sizes offer the best value and turnaround.  By using standard size materials, we can precut our sheet stock, maximize yields, and quickly assemble your order when it comes in. Turnaround time is faster since we can use off-the-shelf materials that don’t need custom preparation. Standard sizing minimizes waste of materials which means we can offer our best price. Please allow for a variance of up to 1/4” from the listed size.
