Images are preserved by infusing dyes directly into specially coated aluminum sheets. To complement this unique printing method, we have developed a variety modern ways to hang and display these prints.

How Long Will HD Metal Prints Last?

ChromaLuxe metal prints were tested by Wilhelm Imaging Research and achieved a permanence rating of more than 60 years using two distinct ink sets. This rating is more than three times better than silver halide photo papers.

How To Clean?

Unlike other photo print media, ChromaLuxe metal prints are easy to clean. The metal prints can be cleaned with a cloth and any all-purpose household cleaner. The cleaner can be sprayed directly on the surface of the print and then wiped with a cloth as needed. We recommend Sprayway Glass Cleaner.

We offer our ChromaLuxe HD Metal prints on three unique surfaces. Gloss White, Matte White & Gloss Silver. Standard corners have a 3/16” rounded edge.

CNC Cut To Size & Shape

All of our HD Metal prints are CNC precision cut to final size. We offer standard and custom sizes up to 40×60. Custom shapes are also available, please contact us for more information and pricing.

Gloss White

Brilliant white high gloss surface for unsurpassed detail, vibrance and color. Our most popular surface.

Matte White

Similar color intensity and detail as our gloss white with a very even, smooth appearance and minimal glare.

Gloss Silver

The brushed silver metal shows through the image, giving the surface a unique translucent luminescence. High gloss surface has unsurpassed detail, vibrance and color.

Process

The HD Metal Print is an especially durable premium product. Due to its low weight, the HD Metal Print is also ideal for large formats. It is weather- and water- resistant, making it suited for outdoor display. Using a state-of-the-art printing technique, the pigments are permanently bonded to coating of the aluminum. An HD Metal Print puts a shine on your photos.

For the HD Metal Print we first print your photo on transfer paper using Fine Art Inkjet pigments. Using heat and pressure, the transfer is then vaporized into a special coating on the aluminum. The result: the materials form a permanent bond, making the print extremely robust. This method is called thermal sublimation. The exceptionally vivid color is very durable, which is why the HD Metal Print is an excellent choice for colorful images with strong contrast.

Please note: despite using the latest techniques, the printing process can result in minor surface imperfections or irregularities resulting from the material itself.

Inset Metal Frame

Inset Metal Frames float the HD Metal print off the wall for a light modern look. We attached our 3/4” deep robust and lightweight frame to the back of the metal print. The hidden frame is 1” inset from each edge. Resulting in a sturdy display that floats weightlessly off the wall.

Float Mount

Our Float Mount Hangers are attached to the back of the print, and float the print 1/2-inch off the wall when hung. Styles and selection vary based on the size of the print ordered. Available for prints up to 20” on the long side.

Flush Mount

These Metal Frames are 1-1/4″ deep (1-5/16″ including the MetalPrint). Flush Mount Frames lend a substantial feel to the HD Metal display creating a box like feel. Available in black or silver.

Studio Frame

Our Studio Frame is the perfect way to present your HD Metal prints in a refined gallery look. It features a 3/4” wide face and a 1-1/4” depth. We offer the moulding in matte black, matte white and espresso finishes. We offer the moulding in matte black, matte white, silver and espresso finishes.

Shutter Frame

Shutter is a simplistic collection, featuring a minimalist stepped profile that serves as a float frame for our HD Metal Prints. The frame has a depth of 1-1/8” and sleek 3/16” face. Available in black, natural or white.
