Our exclusive UV Aluminum Box design raises the bar in metal art presentation. The CNC precision cut design allows the shimmering grain to seamlessly wrap the 1-1/2” deep edges. The sleek material combined with bold direct-UV-printing creates the perfect presentation for modern photography, graphic design, and architectural imagery. The areas of the image that are white or very light are not printed, but instead take on the appearance of the brushed aluminum’s surface. This product stands out for aesthetic reasons, but the material is also extremely robust and durable. Suitable for bathrooms, kitchens, and protected outdoor areas.

Substrate

Our UV Aluminum Boxes are produced with premium grade brushed DiBond aluminum composite. The 3 layered structure provides stability while maintaining a lightweight.  Each art box is stabilized with an interior wood frame. The shimmering aluminum surface has consistent grain throughout.

Printing

We direct print your image straight onto the aluminum surface. In this state-of-the-art, 5-color printing process, we use UV fine art inks for a vibrant, satin finish print. The brighter parts of the image are not printed at all, meaning the shimmering aluminum remains visible and creates a show-through effect.

Border Options

For images with little or no show through we recommend adding borders to your artwork to accentuate the underlying substrate. For images with significant show through we suggest edge-to-edge printing.

Ink Options

  1. CMYK Print
    The brighter parts of the image are not printed at all, meaning the brushed aluminum remains visible and creates a show-through effect. We achieve this look using our modern direct UV print process leaving out the white ink channel.
  2. White + CMYK Print
    We apply a flood or spot white ink layer below the CMYK print to eliminate show through and keep the white values in tact.

By using standard size materials, we can precut our sheet stock, maximize yields, and quickly assemble your order when it comes in. Turnaround time is faster since we can use off-the-shelf materials that don’t need custom preparation. Standard sizing minimizes waste of materials which means we can offer our best price. Please allow for a variance of up to 1/4” from the listed size.
